Horsenames and meanings
You just bought a horse? Or looking for a pony? The question of naming your new family member will be on its way...
Let this page inspire you! It contains Dutch, English, German, and French names and names from many more countries. Until now this site contains more than 10,000 names!! Some of you asked me to add the meanings from Dutch names. I'm working on that, but if you are not sure, you can always mail me and ask about the meaning.
So take what you like, and please let me know what you think of this site! (and tell me my spelling mistakes too!! My English isn't perfect, I know..)
How does this site work?
All names are alphabetically ordered, to make it easy for you to find a great name. Tip: Print the list, and underline the names you like most. From my own experience I know the huge amount of names can be confusing...
I also added some nice animated gifs (horses of course!). Check them out!
Need your help!!
I'm trying to make this site and the lists of names even bigger. Do you know some original names (or meanings) and are they not on the list? On this page you can add your horsenames. Or mail me directly at paardennamen@hotmail.com. Please: 1) send me only names that I don't have on my lists yet! It takes me a lot of time to check the dubbel ones.. 2) if you send me more than one name, separate them by ';'. It makes it possible to add your names soon! Thank you!
