Don Askarian

Don Askarian is a prize winner at several international film festivals. His films, among others, 'Komitas' and 'Avetik' received rave reviews for its beautiful imagery and artistry. "Magic Realism" is how a number of critics characterise his artistic work.

"Dangerous Light"

The book contains the screenplays "In Noraduz", "Komitas", "Avetik" and essays "Chekhov and Cinema", "Dangerouse Light", "An Open Letter" by Don Askarian, interviews and reviews from the world press as well as filmography and biographical sketch, with about 60 color and b/w photographies from the films and with an introduction by famous German film critic Peter W. Jansen "Icons Painter".
